EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a type of meridian therapy. It was originally devised by Gary Craig who developed this technique from TFT (thought field therapy) developed by Dr Roger Callaghan.

I have to be candid about EFT, when I first observed it I thought it was a load of rubbish. It is rather embarrassing, if observed, and repetitive. I also noted it was created by an American form California, and whilst I apologise to all Americans for my bigotry, I found this a put off. So why do I use this now, and teach it with such enthusiasm? Simply, it works. Time and time again I have helped people overcome big life hurdles, quickly, relatively painlessly and often permanently. It does not work every time, and despite claims you will find elsewhere, it is not always a one minute wonder. There are many negative critics of the approach, but my answer, is try it and see, if it works is that not good enough!

EFT is an easy to use method of tapping meridian energy points. It is frequently effective and benefits are usually permanent. I often integrate this method with hypnosis and talking therapy, often with rapid and permanent results. Gary Craig has a phrase, “try it on anything“, in other words it is potentially possible for EFT to help any problem. In my experience the worst case scenario is, nothing happens!

A great benefit of EFT that it is easy to learn and can be used individually or with a ‘buddy‘. In other words it is portable and ultimately free to use!
